We are looking for bi-lingual butler (English/Spanish) for a family in Mexico City.

Executive housekeeper

For a high profile Saudi Family, we are looking for a experienced houskeeper. You will be part of a larger staff.

Butler private family (m/v) no longer available

International high-end butler position. We are looking for a high profile butler, who is fexible, dedicated, experienced in F&B. Fluent in English, French is a plus. Position is in a high-profile, dynamic family.

Butler

A Butler typically oversees the household staff usually of one residence and anticipates the needs of the employer, providing the distinctive trademark of personal service. A Butler is responsible for efficiently running and supervising the specific needs of a formal or multi-staffed household. The Butler provides a distinctive, “hands-on” involvement.

Key-words of requirements

A Butler typically has professional training and formal experience in the field. This position is usually performed on a live-in basis.

Responsibilities

Duties may include the following:

  • Answering residence phone, receiving guests and supervising the reception of visitors
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for employer and household guests
  • Selecting, supervising and scheduling service contractors and suppliers
  • Providing or scheduling household security
  • Assisting with cooking and serving of meals and drinks
  • Maintaining the wine cellar and having knowledge of fine wines
  • Performing valet duties for the employer at home and while travelling
  • Hiring and supervising other household staff
  • Maintaining care and inventory of fine china, silver, crystal, automobiles, artwork, antiques and other special collections
  • Assisting with planning special events and entertaining in the home
  • Running household and personal errands
  • Assisting with or in charge of keeping the household budgets

Salary indication

Butlers typically earn a salary between $50,000 and $120,000 annually for full time, plus benefits.

Chef

The household chef is responsible for anything food or kitchen related.

Responsibilities

Typical duties may include the following:

  • Cooking meals for the household
  • Coordinating with the other staff of meals and functions
  • Shopping and menu planning
  • Coordinating or preparing all food for parties and special functions
  • Stocking of the supply and inventory taking
  • Security, hygiene and cleaning-up of the kitchen area

Salary indication

The salary range is $50,000 to $100,000.

Estate Manager, Butler, Major Domo, Household Administrator
 
The Estate Manager serves as the CEO of the property and service management for a large Estate ( > 15,000 square feet ). He or she is also responsible for the owner's multiple residences, content and extensive grounds. Together with the owners he or she plans and supervises the management of the properties and sets services required for their maintenance. 

Key-words of requirements

Formal training or at least exceptional experience in providing excellent service for families or individuals, flexible and skills related to business, personnel management, negotiation, leadership, motivation and social etiquette.

Responsibilities

Duties may include the following:

  • Hiring and termination, training, supervising other household staff
  • Coordinating with Chefs and landscape service professionals
  • Ensuring home and personal security
  • Coordinating travel arrangements
  • Planning and executing events for the owner (dinner parties to a grand, formal gatherings)
  • Selecting, supervising and scheduling (service) contractors and vendors
  • Managing construction projects or home improvements
  • Managing household accounts, budgets and payroll
  • Performing bookkeeping and/or accounting tasks
  • Running household and personal errands
  • Scheduling maintenance of pools, yachts, private planes, etc.
  • Construction management
  • Systems creation and management

Salary indication

An Estate Manager's salary ranges from $60,000 - $150,000 annually plus benefits.

Executive Assistant

See also Personal Assistant. The Executive Assistant provides key administrative support for an executive, managing the employer's daily schedule and handling multiple activities.

Key-words of requirements

Executive Assistants must reflect a professional image, good attitude, possess excellent interpersonal skills, proper business protocol, be extremely organized, and adapt to the needs of their clients. He or she must be a problem solver, flexible, a team player and must hold exceptional written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Typical duties include (in addition to Personal Assistant):

  • Scheduling of business and personal calendars
  • Coordinating travel arrangements
  • Handling all e-mails, voice mails and written correspondence
  • Coordinating details of the employer's personal life; e.g. managing personal finances, monitoring investment portfolios, maintaining databases

Salary indication

An Executive Assistant typically earns between $30-$50 per hour, $60,000 and up annually, plus benefits.

Gentleman's gentleman

The Gentleman's Gentleman has become a travelling Executive Assistant and Concierge to the principal of the household. The person is focused on direct personal service and administrative support for their employer vs. the management of the home.

Key-words of requirements

They are highly educated and business literate.

Responsibilities

The range of skills and responsibilities they will assume may include any combination of the following:

  • valet services such as the care and maintenance of his employers clothing, the selection and shopping for his employers wardrobe
  • travel arrangements
  • chauffeuring
  • light cooking
  • personal and business correspondence
  • screening and maintaining an appointment calendar
  • personal body guard (not standard)

Salary indication

Salaries of a gentleman's gentleman vary throughout the world. Salaries range from $50,000 to $100,000.

Household Manager

The Household Manager keeps all the activities of an employer's home(s) running smoothly. Their duties usually are related to just what the owners require and basically limited to one property only.

Key-words of requirements

Formal training is not always required but experience is. In addition to the skills of an Estate Manager he or she should be able to perform the tasks themselves: hands-on.

Area's of responsibilities

The duties may include the following:

  • Training and organizing the duties and schedules of domestic staff
  • Managing household budgets and inventory supplies
  • Coordinating and scheduling service contractors and vendors
  • Ensuring home and personal security
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and preparation for travel
  • Planning and directing special events
  • Supervising or participating in proper table settings and entertaining prep
  • Coordinating schedules and daily activities
  • Maintaining care of fine china, silver, crystal, artwork and antiques and other special collections
  • Serving as a personal valet to the household and/or gentleman of the house
  • Running household and personal errands
  • Car maintenance

Salary indication 

The typical salary ranges from $45,000 - $80,000 plus benefits.

Housekeeper or Houseman

Housekeepers work in all types of homes, from those with a casual atmosphere to formal, multi-staffed homes. This position involves daily maintenance of the home as well as heavy cleaning. As a general guideline, a full-time Housekeeper is recommended for homes of 5000 sq. ft . or more. If errands, cooking, and laundry are also required, hiring an additional housekeeper is recommended.

Key-words of requirements

While they may not have formal training, they should have experience working in a private home.

Responsibilities

Typical duties may include the following:

  • Cooking and serving meals for the household
  • Cleaning the interior of the home
  • Laundry and ironing linens
  • Assisting with the cooking and serving for special events
  • Running errands including the grocery shopping
  • Making the beds
  • Polishing the silver
  • Mending clothes
  • Organizing drawers and straightening closets

Salary indication

The salary range for Housekeepers is usually between $15 - $30 per hour, plus benefits or anywhere from $40,000 to $70,000.

Personal Assistant, Social Secretary, Family Assistant

The Personal Assistant is usually responsible for working in the employer's home office in the management of their household, personal and professional needs. This is more a one-to-one position to the employer.

Key-words of requirements

They need to have excellent managerial, communication and interpersonal skills, understand protocol and etiquette and have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities. Most Personal Assistants have a Bachelor's degree in addition to professional experience in a corporate setting. Their experience and background varies. Depending on the level of in-home service necessary, this can be a live-in position.

Responsibilities

Being proficient in computer operation and accounting skills are frequently required. Typical duties include:

  • Handling social- and business correspondence and bills
  • Making travel arrangements, and often travelling with the employer.
  • Serving as office assistant, handling correspondence, creating inventories, organizing the office and handling media inquiries
  • Maintaining social agenda
  • Planning/managing special events and parties
  • Managing construction projects or home improvements
